Well, I guess you could say David got beat up today. He came inside from playing with his fun neighbor friend saying he had a big headache from being "tackled" to the ground! He was pretty shook up. About a minute later, however, he was out and ready to play more. Later, it came out that the reason David was tackled was because he was repeatedly shouting "Go Vikings!" (Yes, Jon is a Vikings fan.) I took this as an opportunity to teach the kids about watching our tongues around other people, because bothering others can cause fights...God says to try to be at peace with others (Heb. 12:14)...and so on. Later, I continued to see the wheels turning in David's head. "But, Dad cheers for the Vikings...." "Yes, David, we're unusual here in Illinois. Most people root for the Bears, but Dad likes the Vikings." "I think I want to root for the Bears!"

Awww, poor David. (But how cute, in a way!!)
In my years of living in different parts of the country, I think Chicago sports fans are much more intense than others!!
But living in Minnesota and being a Bears fan can also be hazardous. I did get to wear my Sox jersey last night to youth group. I am pretty sure God was able to work in spite of it...
ok, time for another blog post now that your Master's is done! Woohoo! You should blog about your paper! and Thanksgiving!!
